PACIFIC EDGE HOTEL

LAGUNA BEACH, CALIFORNIA

Pacific Edge Hotel is a conglomeration of nine existing individual buildings located along the Pacific Ocean in Laguna Beach. The design team has been charged with uniting a stylistically disparate set of buildings to create a new identity for this ocean-side destination. The proposed design includes: a new hotel building, a new Porte Cochere and driving entry sequence, a new landscape concept, an updated lobby, a new resort pool deck and bar, a new cafe and exterior patio, and a new fitness center for the resort. New screen walls, trellises, landscaped walkways and courtyards, and stairs are being introduced to help soften and unite the hotel’s image. Laguna Beach is full of awe-inspiring natural beauty, and this design will integrate timeless materials and warm materials to complement the beauty of its surroundings.
